ACADEMICS
At Daisy Schools, we admit straight to nursery and primary classes, and we also prepare children for nursery classes at our playgroup classes.
Classes and age of admission
Reception 1
Children must be one year six months or two years by September before admission into this class. Promotion from this class to Reception 2 is not automatic. We observe them and access their readiness before promoting them to the next class.
Reception 2
Children admitted into this class must be between two years and three years old by September of the admission year.
Nursery one
Children admitted into this class must be three years and six months by September of the admission year.
Nursery two
Children admitted into this class must be four years and 6months by September of the admission year.
Year One (Primary One)
Children admitted into Year-one(Primary one) must be five years and six months old or six years by September of the admission year.
Relationship Between Age and Class Placement
It has been discovered that the ability of a child to excel in school depends on the readiness of the child. Some schools and parents wrongly place children in classes that they are not prepared for. From our observations, this situation often leads to frustration for the child, the teachers, and even the parents.
